About us... Tring Table Tennis Club (2023/24 season) has 4 teams registered with the Aylesbury & District Table Tennis League. Following our most succesful year for some considerable time we have a team in the Premier Division and one in Division 2,3 & 4. 

The membership currently registered to represent the club in league matches stands at 19 adults and 1 junior. There is no Annual subscription as we obtain our revenue via match fees only. These are currently £4.00 per match appearance.

A little history... Records show that competitive table tennis existed in Tring in the mid thirties when Tring YMCA ran a team in the Aylesbury League. After a break during the war and post war periods competitive table tennis returned in the form of Tring Conservatives who from 1960 ran teams in the Hemel Hempstead League. They were joined by teams from Tring Lawn Tennis Club at the beginning of the seventies. By the end of the seventies the emphasis had changed and Tring Park Cricket Club succeeded Tring Conservatives as the dominant home for table tennis in the town with teams in the Aylesbury League. In 1981 there was a merger leading to the present Tring Table Tennis Club who now run teams in the Aylesbury and District Table Tennis League.

For 15 years up to 2020 we ran training sessions firstly at Grove Road Primary School. Then we moved to Tring School gym and obtained 10 tables. The tables we used were funded by the ETTA and one by the Tring Town Council. Sadly this stopped in 2020 with the impact of COVID and the school rebuild. 

We have played at.a number of venues over the years, including at the Tring Park Cricket club, the Youth club at Western Road, Pendley and the Lawn Tennis Club. We now play all matches at the Iron Room at Tring Station.
